Sobre Communauté de communes - La région d'Audruicq
The Communauté de communes de la région d'Audruicq is a public establishment for intercommunal cooperation (EPCI) with its own taxing authority, governed under French local government law. It brings together several municipalities around the central town of Audruicq, as part of the intercommunal framework progressively established in France since the late twentieth century to pool certain responsibilities among neighboring municipalities.
The territory of this intercommunal community is located in the Pas-de-Calais department, in the Hauts-de-France region, close to the towns of Calais and Saint-Omer. It lies within a geographical context marked by the Flemish maritime plain and the wetlands of the Calais area, near the Audomarois marshes. This position gives it a connecting role between the coastline and the inland areas, within a rural and peri-urban space combining agricultural activities, residential zones, and small business areas.
Like any French communauté de communes, this intercommunal structure exercises responsibilities transferred by its member municipalities, as defined by law and by its statutes. These responsibilities generally cover spatial planning, local economic development, the management of certain shared facilities, environmental and living-environment initiatives, as well as local services for the residents of the territory. It thus represents an intermediate level of local governance, positioned between municipalities and departmental or regional authorities, responsible for carrying forward projects of intercommunal interest and coordinating public action across its area.
The website ccra.fr is the official institutional site of the Communauté de communes de la région d'Audruicq, presenting its governing bodies, its areas of responsibility, its news, and practical information intended for the residents and businesses of the territory.
