Referral programme terms

These terms describe the conditions under which a DMARC customer may invite a peer and receive AI credits. They form part of the service terms; where they conflict with any marketing communication, this text prevails.

Who may take part

Any active DMARC account may take part, on any plan, including the free plan. Referrals are meant for ANOTHER organisation: an invitation sent to an address on the referrer's own domain earns no reward. The referred person must create a new account; an address already attached to an existing account cannot be referred.

What is granted

The referred account receives 700 AI credits, and the referrer 700 AI credits. If the referred account later subscribes to a paid plan, the referrer receives a further 10,000 credits. Credits are a gift: they are not refundable, not convertible into money, and not transferable between accounts. They are added to the monthly credits included in the plan and are only drawn on once that allowance is used up.

When credits are granted

The referred account receives its credits as soon as its email address is verified. The referrer receives theirs once the referred account is ACTIVATED — that is, once its address is verified AND at least one domain is being monitored. The subscription bonus is granted on the referred account's first move to a paid plan, once only: cancelling and subscribing again does not trigger a second grant.

Caps

Any given domain may be referred ONCE only, whatever address is used and whoever the referrer is. An account may be rewarded for at most 10 referrals per calendar month, and 25 in total. Beyond that, sign-ups remain possible but no longer earn a reward.

Validity

Gifted credits are valid for twelve (12) months from the date they are granted. After that, any unused balance expires. Credits closest to expiry are used first.

Exclusions and abuse

The following are excluded from the programme without notice: creating accounts for the sole purpose of obtaining credits, using addresses or domains controlled by the referrer, and any manoeuvre intended to circumvent the caps above. Where abuse is established, the credits concerned may be withdrawn and the account excluded from the programme. Other services on the account are unaffected.

Changes and closure

The programme may be changed or closed at any time. Credits already granted remain subject to the conditions above; a referral that has been recorded but not yet rewarded, however, earns no grant once the programme is closed.

Personal data

Sending an invitation means the referrer provides a third party's email address. That address is used solely to send a single message, which names the organisation behind the invitation and explains how to report an unwanted send. It is kept in no register of the programme. The processing is described in the record of processing activities (processing T17) and in the privacy policy.
