What this means

  • • Policy p=quarantine: unaligned messages are moved to the spam folder.
  • • SPF ends with ~all (softfail): acceptable while observing, aim for -all in the end.
  • • At least one valid DKIM key published.
  • • No MTA-STS (_mta-sts): inbound SMTP connections remain exposed to TLS downgrade. Recommended alongside DMARC.
  • • No TLS-RPT (_smtp._tls): the TLS failures encountered by senders are not reported.
  • • External report recipient not authorised (RFC 7489 §7.1): the _report._dmarc authorisation record is absent from the recipient domain — compliant reporters will ignore this rua/ruf address. (xefi-montpellier.fr)

About Castries

Castries is a French commune located in the Hérault department, in the Occitanie region, near Montpellier. It falls administratively within the arrondissement of Montpellier and forms part of the Montpellier Métropole territory, of which it is one of the member communes. Its territory extends over a peri-urban area characterized by the coexistence of an old town center, residential zones, and natural and agricultural spaces typical of the Languedoc garrigue landscape. The history of Castries is closely linked to the presence of the Château de Castries, a seigneurial residence whose origins date back to the Middle Ages and which was altered several times over the following centuries. The commune is also known for its aqueduct, a hydraulic structure designed to supply the château and its gardens, associated with the history of regional hydraulic engineering. This built heritage reflects the gradual development of the town around the seigneurial residence, and its subsequent evolution into a modern commune with its own municipal institutions. As a territorial authority, the commune of Castries carries out the responsibilities assigned to French communes: civil registry management, urban planning, maintenance of communal roads, local social services, as well as the management of public facilities such as schools, sports grounds, and cultural venues. The municipal council, chaired by the mayor, sets local policy directions and represents residents' interests before intercommunal and departmental bodies. The commune also takes part in intercommunal cooperation arrangements for pooling certain services and facilities. The website castries.fr is the institutional website of the commune, providing practical information, local news, and administrative procedures for residents and users.
