About Communauté d'agglomération - Grand Sénonais
The Grand Sénonais Agglomeration Community is a French public establishment for intercommunal cooperation (EPCI), organized around the city of Sens, in the Yonne department, in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. This administrative structure brings together several municipalities of the Sénonais basin, forming a coherent territory at the junction of urban and more rural areas, located in the northern part of the department, close to the Île-de-France region.

As an EPCI with its own taxation powers, the Grand Sénonais exercises a set of competences transferred by member municipalities, notably covering economic development, spatial planning at the community level, housing policy balance, urban policy, as well as management of certain facilities and services of community interest. Its action follows a logic of pooling resources and coordinating local public policies for the benefit of its member municipalities. The institution collaborates with other territorial authorities, notably the Yonne department and the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, in implementing planning and local development projects.
