Sobre Communauté de communes - Pays de Landerneau Daoulas

The Communauté de communes du Pays de Landerneau-Daoulas is a French inter-municipal public body (établissement public de coopération intercommunale, or EPCI), grouping together several municipalities in the Finistère department, in the Brittany region. It is organised around the towns of Landerneau and Daoulas, which form the two main urban centres of the territory, located near Brest, along the Élorn estuary and at the edge of the Rade de Brest. The intercommunal area brings together municipalities of varying sizes, combining urban zones with peri-urban and rural coastal or valley areas. This local authority resulted from a process of inter-municipal consolidation, bringing together earlier structures previously organised respectively around Landerneau and Daoulas, as part of successive changes to the French map of inter-municipal cooperation. This merger allowed for the creation of a coherent territorial entity, intended to pool the competences and resources of member municipalities and to carry out projects at a supra-municipal scale. The community of municipalities exercises responsibilities in several fields relating to spatial planning, economic development, housing, waste management, and environmental protection, as well as in water supply and sanitation. It is also involved in sports, cultural and tourism facilities, complementing the action of member municipalities, in a spirit of solidarity and shared local public services. The territory is characterised by a distinctive natural setting, between the Élorn valley and the coastline, as well as by notable historical heritage, including Daoulas Abbey and the historic centre of Landerneau, which contribute to the identity of the inter-municipal area. The website pays-landerneau-daoulas.fr is the institutional website of this community of municipalities, presenting its responsibilities, news, services and administrative procedures intended for residents and local stakeholders of the territory.
