Mauges Communauté is a French communauté d'agglomération established on 1 January 2016, formed from the merger of several communautés de communes within the Mauges territory. Its headquarters are located in Beaupréau-en-Mauges, in the Maine-et-Loire department, within the Pays de la Loire region. It is one of the largest intercommunal structures in France in terms of composition, bringing together six communes that were themselves created through earlier mergers: Beaupréau-en-Mauges, Chemillé-en-Anjou, Mauges-sur-Loire, Montrevault-sur-Èvre, Orée-d'Anjou, and Sèvremoine.
The territory of Mauges Communauté covers a large part of southwestern Maine-et-Loire, bordering the Loire-Atlantique, Vendée, and Deux-Sèvres departments. Historically shaped by agricultural, industrial, and craft activity, the area has retained a diversified economic structure, with a notable presence of small and medium-sized enterprises.
