The Communauté d'agglomération Lisieux Normandie is a French public establishment for intercommunal cooperation (EPCI), governed by the provisions of the general code of local authorities. It was established in 2017 following the merger of several pre-existing intercommunal structures in the Pays d'Auge area, as part of the reorganization of Normandy's intercommunal map. Its headquarters are located in Lisieux, the central town that gives its name to the entire territory.
Situated in the Calvados department, in the Normandy region, the local authority brings together several dozen municipalities clustered around Lisieux, covering a territory with a predominantly rural and peri-urban character typical of the Pays d'Auge. As an EPCI with its own tax authority, the Communauté d'agglomération Lisieux Normandie exercises powers transferred by its member municipalities, notably in economic development, spatial planning, housing, urban policy, waste management, sanitation, mobility, and environmental preservation. It also contributes to the tourism and cultural promotion of the territory, as well as to the coordination of structural projects extending beyond the municipal level. Its community council, composed of delegates appointed by the municipal councils of member communes, sets the strategic and budgetary direction of the authority, under the leadership of a president elected from among its members.
