Über Département Hérault
The Département de l'Hérault is a French territorial authority operating at the departmental level, located in the Occitanie region in the south of France. Its territory stretches from the Mediterranean coastline to the foothills of the Cévennes and the Massif Central, encompassing a diverse range of urban, coastal, wine-growing and rural areas. The prefecture of the department is established in Montpellier, which is also the main demographic and economic centre of the territory.
