The Département of Aveyron is a French territorial authority within the Occitanie region, in the south of the country. Its territory, characterized by contrasting landscapes of limestone plateaus, valleys, the Lévézou uplands and the foothills of the Massif Central, covers one of the largest areas among French departments.
